The creator of Star Wars, George Lucas decided to open a museum in Los Angeles and this project costs him billion dollars!
The museum will be located in the park of exhibitions in Los Angeles and in it can be found items and stuff especially of the saga “Star Wars.” Of course, in the museum also will be items from the set of “The Wizard of Oz” and “Casablanca.”
Lucas will finance almost the entire construction of the museum, which will be located on three hectares of land. What is interesting is its look, like a real spaceship.
The initial plan was the construction of the museum to be in Chicago, but that idea doesn’t work so long. The organizer of this project announced that after long deliberation Los Angeles was chosen in front of San Francisco.
The museum will be located in Exhibition Park near the University of Southern California where in 1970 Lucas studied film and met his future collaborators, among others Steven Spielberg.
The famous director in his collection has more than 40,000 items in the museum such as the mask of Darth Vader.
Lucas film the first “Star Wars” in 1977, and in 2012 sold the franchise to Disney for four billion dollars.
It is not known when the museum will be open.
